Vertical Blinds are a popular blind choice for homeowners. Why? Because they’re easy to operate, and they are inexpensive.
They’re also popular with landlords who want to provide a window covering that is not expensive and is easy to maintain, yet able to give the user light and privacy control.

- They operate on a track system, aka headrail
- They have a chain or chainless weights
- They are made of quality, easy to clean, material
- Come in a wide range of colours and patterns to suit most all home decors (included an imported range from the UK, Louvolite)
- Have the option of either 63mm (perfect for tight areas), 89mm or 127mm blades
- Will span wide areas, up to 5.5 metres wide and a 3-metre drop
- The option of wand or cord control for ease of use
- Child safety pegs/mechanism with a cord control
- Light control: using light-filtering or block-out fabrics
- Privacy: close blinds or open slightly
Is there an option for a Pelmet?
Yes, you can have a headrail ordered and installed in front of the top tracking system to form a type of cover. It will hide the track system and make the install feel fully complete, without feeling “exposed” and unfinished.
Can Vertical Slats be replaced?
Depending on how long you’ve had your vertical blinds installed at your home, and how you use them, there is a chance that you may need to change a slat or two. We can easily do this for you as we offer repair services for our own Macarthur Home Improvement Vertical Blinds.
This will save you money as you don’t need to replace the whole blind set-up, but rather change what you need.
For DIYers – you can bring to us your vertical louvre from the blind to our showroom, we will measure it, and then you choose a fabric and colour for us to make new ones for you to replace.
Just give us a call on 4625 3446 and let us know what issue you may be having, and we’ll help you.
How long before I can get my Vertical Blinds installed?
As we make them on-site, we can be completely transparent on lead times for the blinds. Currently, there is a 2-3 week turnaround for them.
Note: at this time of year, there are cut-off dates for installation before Christmas, so check with the team on the latest status when placing your order.
Why would I choose a Vertical Blind over a (horizontal) Venetian Blind?
Large (wide and floor-to-ceiling) windows and sliding glass doors areas can make space feel bigger and more open.
While multiple sets of horizontal blinds can do the job in these areas, from a visual and operational perspective, vertical blinds are more practical and convenient.
Also, the vertical appearance of the blinds can make the area of the room seem “taller”, giving it more height.
All vertical blinds come with a 5-year warranty on the tracking system (German designed Decomatic® system) and a 1-year warranty on the fabric, which means that you have peace of mind in that the product has longevity and well worth your decision.
